We put so much stock into originality.  But I wonder, In this day and age, is there even such a thing as original thought?  Think of the millions upon millions of people who have walked this earth.  Is there a sentence that has never been uttered?  A thought that has never been thought?  A conversation that has never been repeated?  And how would we ever know?

We are all products of our environment and genetics.  We are molded by the society in which we live.  How much of what I say is actually my own?  How many times have you said "I was just about to say that"?  Or "That sounds just like something I could have written myself"?

Does originality even exist anymore?

I would sure hope so.
